After Shah Rukh Khan fans came to know that Ranveer Singh would be taking over the role of Don in the next movie directed by Farhan Akhtar. They were really disappointed. However many fans also supported Ranveer Singh saying that in the past similar situation took place when Shah Rukh Khan replaced Amitabh Bachchan as Don.

While the news has been circulating. Amid this, an old episode of the talk show “Koffee With Karan,” hosted by Karan Johar, has gone viral on the internet. In this episode, Karan Johar asked Shah Rukh Khan a fun question: “Imagine if you woke up one morning and realized you were back in the 70s, what would you do?”You know what Shahrukh replied to this. He said, “I would make ‘Don’ with Chandra Barot again and put an end to all the controversies we have today.”

For the unversed Chandra Barot was the director who offered the original 1978 film “Don,” featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Zeenat Aman in pivotal roles. Later when the movie was remade by Farhan Akhtar, it featured Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles.

Yet again as the next franchise of the “Don” series is in discussions, Ranveer Singh is all set to step into the shoes of the iconic character. Even though Ranveer Singh faced some criticism from trolls, he didn’t let it bother him. He took to his social media account to share his thoughts about the new role.

Expressing his excitement Ranveer Singh said, It’s a big opportunity for me as I’ve been dreaming about this for a really long time! When I was a kid, I absolutely loved watching movies, especially those featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan – the two legends of Hindi Cinema. I used to dream of becoming an actor just like them. They are the reason I wanted to be a hero in Hindi films. They’ve influenced who I am as a person and as an actor. Continuing their legacy is like a dream come true.” Although Ranveer is all set to justify the role there’s disappointment among some fans. All we have to see is how Ranveer Singh fits into the legacy of the two great actors and make the upcoming “Don” movie something special.
