Pop icon Madonna was recently admitted to a hospital in New York City after being found unresponsive. As per the information by Page Six, the 64-year-old singer was rushed to the hospital on Saturday, June 25. Currently, Madonna is in recovery after being intubated overnight due to a severe bacterial infection. The exact nature of the infection is still unknown. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that thousands of Americans lose their lives to serious bacterial infections annually.

Madonna’s Health Update:

Providing an update on Madonna’s health, her manager, Guy Oseary, stated that although her condition is improving, she still requires close medical supervision. Now her health has compelled Madonna to postpone her ‘Celebration’ tour, originally scheduled to commence in Vancouver on July 15. Oseary explained in an Instagram statement that Madonna developed a severe bacterial infection on Saturday, June 24, resulting in her stay in the ICU for several days. However it seems like her health is progressing positively, but she will continue to receive medical care until she gets fully recovered.

Expressing fear for Madonna’s health, a family member revealed to the Daily Mail that they were uncertain about her chances of being alive as they were apprehensive about losing her. They were prepared for the worst, keeping the situation under wraps since Saturday. The unnamed relative stated, “There was a real fear that we may lose her, and unfortunately, that was the reality we faced.” However, with Madonna’s health showing signs of improvement, hopes for her recovery are now higher.
